Quito equator problems

Is Quito dangerous? That is the question many people are asking. Quito has a very high crime rate even when it is compared to other south american countries. People are getting mugged, pick-pocketed, and knifed. but despite the statistics, walking around in Quito isn't a terrifying expierience.

Obama wants longer school years/days

Just early in the school year, Obama is already considering longer school years and days. Obama thinks that there are too many kids who spend too much time out of school. But statistics show that asian schools spend a less amount of hours in school and they score better on math and science tests.

HURRICANE EARL

Many people along the east-coast of the united states abandoned their homes and evacuated; but what really happened with Hurricane Earl was much different than wahat people had thought. At first, most people thought that this was going to be a very big hurricane, but as it hit the east-coast, the hurricane weakened to only a catagory two hurricane.
